Many natural product manufacturers have begun making eco-friendly disposable diapers. Even Huggies, one of the major traditional diaper producers, has a new green option.

A whole new crop of companies are producing environmentally-friendly diapers. From mainstream diaper companies like Huggies, to natural product manufacturers like Earth's Best Organics, everybody is trying to make an alternative to the plastic, chemical-laden disposable diaper.

Earth's Best Organics

Earth's Best Organics, owned by the Hain Celestial Group, has been producing organic and natural baby products for over 20 years. Their line includes pureed baby foods, toddler finger foods, and other various snacks. They have recently started producing baby diapers and wipes.

Earth's Best Organics diapers are unbleached, so they do not contain any chlorine. Their diapers use less plastic than mainstream disposable diapers, as well as using some renewable materials. The wipes also do not contain any chlorine. They are available in standard sizes Newborn and 1-6.

Full Circle Brand

Full Circle is a brand that is known for its wide variety of organic and natural foods, cleaning supplies, and personal goods. They have also recently started making disposable diapers. Full Circle's Environmentally Sensitive Diapers are chlorine-free. The outer layer and inner absorbent layer are made from corn, which is a renewable resource. Full Circle brand diapers are available in sizes 1-6 (no Newborn size is available).

Huggies Pure and Natural

Huggies is one of the leading manufacturers of disposable diapers in the USA. They are also the first of the mainstream diaper producers to create a more natural diaper. According to the Huggies website, their Pure and Natural line is hypoallergenic and fragrance-free. They contain aloe, vitamin E, and organic cotton for absorption. They are available in sizes N and 1-5 (no 6) and are available wherever Huggies diapers are sold.

TenderCare Plus

Like Full Circle and Earth's Best diapers, TenderCare Plus diapers are unbleached and chlorine-free. The absorbent materials are from Scandinavian forests. The trees grown there are sustainable and renewable. TenderCare Plus diapers contain no animal products and are not tested on animals. They are available in four sizes, which is different from most mainstream diapers, which have 6-7 sizes.

TenderCare Plus diapers are made by the same company that makes Tushies diapers. Tushies diapers are another environmentally friendly diaper, and they are the only disposable diapers without absorbent gel inside them. As more people are becoming concerned about the environment, and the effects of disposable diapers building up in landfills, they are turning to greener options. From mainstream brands like Huggies, to organic brands, green diapers are becoming more readily available. They are a great, effective alternative to traditional disposable diapers.
