Life in general keeps us all very busy. There are times when you have things that have to get done whether or not your toddler wants your attention at the time. Rather than sitting your toddler in front of the T.V. there are ways to keep them occupied while they are doing something fun and educational.
I like to put my toddler in his booster seat at the kitchen table and pull out the play dough while I clean the kitchen or cook dinner. He is close by so I can watch him and talk to him as he plays but I am still able to get the things done that I need to.
One of the problems that often comes up when trying to clean a house with young children is your toddler can make messes faster than you can clean them up. While play dough does make a bit of a mess, your toddler is contained while they are playing and the mess is in one area rather than scattered all over the house. I’ve found that I can get a lot more cleaning done in my kitchen than my toddler can make while sitting at the table playing with play dough.
