I am guilty of over scheduling myself and subsequently my children as well. With a new baby on the way I've really had to try hard to slow down and enjoy the time that I have with my toddler before we add another baby to our house. The moments that I slow down and take things at a toddler speed are the ones that I enjoy being a mother the most. Getting down on the floor for a few minutes to play with my toddler and enjoy the things that he is interested in are some of the best memories that I have of the toddler years. I know how easy it is to get caught up in the day to day rush of our lives and the lists of things that we have to do but I'm trying to spend more time remembering to slow down and simplify things.
