Toddlers at Play

Keep your Infant or Toddler safe outside.

Infants and Toddlers love to play outside. Keep them safe can be a lot of work for mom but it gets easier as they learn the rules.

My son is 14 months and he has just recently discovered the world of wood chips. When the weather first started warming up and we began going outside again he would do nothing more than sit in the wood chips in our playground area with his legs in the air so they didn't have to touch those strange little wooden things and scream at me. Within the past week it seems as though he has decided that they aren't that scary after all and now he loves to throw them in the air right over his head. By the end of our time outside his hair, clothes, and shoes are covered in wood chips and he thinks it is the funniest thing he has ever done. He had to be exposed to the new texture of the wood chips a few times before he was willing to actually touch them as he played.
