Traveling long distances with an infant is a very reasonable goal if you plan ahead and prepare for your infant's needs.

Traveling with an infant can be an adventure but it also requires a lot of planning before you even begin your trip. Young infants will likely do fairly well on a long plane trip. As long as they are comfortable and well fed they will likely sleep through most of the trip and enjoy some cuddle time with mom or dad. Older babies (9-18 months) will need to be entertained as they travel with toys, books, and games.

London is a wonderful place for the whole family to visit and offers a huge variety of cultural destinations. The key is to plan as much of your trip as you can before hand. Be aware of what kind of accommodations you will have while you are on your trip. Try and find a baby friendly hotel. Some hotels provide port-a-cribs and other conveniences for parents traveling with young children. Make a list of places that you want to visit while you are on your trip and know what type of transportation you will need to use to get there.
